Merian Odesho started Bounce Curl in 2015. She was inspired by her cultural background and a way to care for textured hair that combines nature and science.

It is also known for its viral, custom-patented brushes, like the Define EdgeLift and Volume EdgeLift. These brushes are made to clump curls, reduce frizz, and even make curls without heat.
